- Adrienne is a registered nurse and nurse teacher with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. She is qualified, competent, experienced and up to date in all aspects of the work she undertakes.
- Professional indemnity insurance is provided through the Royal College of Nursing.
- Adrienne is a member of the following professional associations: International Society of Travel Medicine, British Travel Health Association, British Academy of Western Medical Acupuncture, Royal College of Nursing travel health, education and research forums.
- Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance.
Those qualifications explained:
RN: Registered nurse (formerly RGN and SRN)
Nurse teacher: Qualified and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a nurse teacher.
BSc(Hons) Batchelor of Science degree, 1st class Honours (research dissertation was on rheumatoid arthritis).
MA (Ed) Masters degree in education for health professionals (research dissertation was on the educational needs of nurses working in prisons).
PGDip(HE) Postgraduate diploma enabling me to teach in higher education.
Lic.Ac: Licensed medical acupuncturist.
FHEA: Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, awarded for a substantive role in teaching and enhancing the student learning experience.
Adrienne is currently finishing her PhD in Health Sciences at the University of Warwick Medical School. Her thesis is on pre-travel health consultations by nurses, developing a new model of consultation.
